Il mito dello stato nuovo (The myth of the new state)

Emilio Gentile, Laterza.

In a journey that starts from the nineteenth-century anti-Giolitti movement and reaches some protagonists of the regime, from Rocco to Bottai, the volume of Gentile (which collects some essays appeared in previous years) articulates a path through fascism as a regime projected towards the refoundation of the state and the national body. This is one of the most important contributions in Gentile’s long confrontation with the problem of fascist totalitarianism.
